Central Gardens serves as a vital link connecting the urban hub of Southall in London to the adjacent natural reserve alongside the newest residential development. Guided by a commitment to wildlife preservation and consideration for the residents, the design prioritizes these key criteria.
The lighting strategy goes beyond functionality, crafting a captivating backdrop for public events and fostering intimate socialization during the evening hours. To balance the needs of both nature and the community, a stringent lighting control protocol is implemented.
After the designated curfew time, the majority of the illumination is switched off, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding environment.
However, the primary pedestrian and cycle route maintains consistent light levels to ensure a sense of safety for residents navigating their way home. This thoughtful approach not only enhances the aesthetics of Central Gardens but also contributes to a harmonious coexistence between urban development, nature preservation, and community well-being.
